This Room Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into as of [Date], by and between [Landlord’s Full Legal Name] (the “Landlord”), residing at [Landlord’s Full Address], and [Tenant’s Full Legal Name] (the “Tenant”), residing at [Tenant’s Full Address].


The Landlord, in consideration of the rent payments provided in this Agreement, rents to the Tenant a room located at [Full Legal Description of the Room], and more generally described as [General Description of Room], together with any personal property located thereon (the “Property”). The Tenant shall use the Property for residential purposes only.

2. TERM:

The initial term of this Agreement will begin on [Start Date], and will end on [End Date]. Thereafter, the Agreement will continue on a month-to-month basis until either the Landlord or the Tenant terminate this Agreement with written notice.

3. RENT:

The Tenant agrees to pay [Monthly Rent] per month, due on the first day of each calendar month.

The Tenant will keep the Property and all personal property of the Landlord in a good state of preservation and condition.

This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.


This Agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other promises, conditions, understandings, or other agreements, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter of this Agreement.


This Agreement may be amended or modified only by a written agreement signed by both the Landlord and the Tenant.
