1. Contract Introduction

8. Force Majeure

Neither the Client nor the Event Planner will be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this Contract if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalization, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

9. Governing Law

This Contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of [Insert State]. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the state of [Insert State].
